1. Take a highlighter pen with you to highlight
any activities in the daily cruise compass
that you do not want to miss.
2. Take some post-it notes to remind yourself
to do things or to leave notes for your cabin
steward.
3. Bring a photocopy of your passport and
insurance with you in case of loss.
4. Make a time to meet before you split up
- it can be difficult to find each other on
a very big ship.
5. Have personal address cards to hand out
to all of the new friends you make.
6. Read up on all of the places you will be
visiting beforehand so you can make the most
of your time ashore.
7. Take a heavier moisturiser than normal
as the air conditioning is very drying on
the skin. Drink plenty of water!
8. A digital camera is a must for recording
those special memories. And bring binoculars
if you have them - they're great!

Pack in hand luggage what you will need until
your luggage arrives. e.g swim/sun bathing
gear. Also a washbag / toiletries / make up
so if your luggage has not turned up in time
for evening meal at least you can have a shower
to freshen up.
The first cruise I went on didn't know what
to expect at all, wished I'd packed a bikini
in my hand luggage as it was so hot I could
of done with a swim!!!

My suggestions to name your next new or refurbished

Always book the Royal Caribbean Shore Tours.
You'll see as much as you can in the short
time available with a guide that knows where
the rest rooms are, where you can eat, where
to buy the best ice-cream. You can waste so
much time looking for these places when you
try to explore on your own. They will also
get you back to the ship before it sails!
You can always book another cruise if you
want to see more!

Make full use of the excellent and reasonably
priced laundry services on board near the
end of the cruise to save all that washing
and ironing when you return home.
John Samson
Book your excursions using your television
as soon as you board - this will save you
time, queues and ensure you get on the excursions
you really want to.
Andrea Bingham
If you are arriving at your embarkation port
by rental car, drive straight to the pier
and drop off your bags before returning your
car to the rental depot. Then you only have
to handle hand luggage on the shuttle bus
back to the port.
Madeleine Carter
Take a little time to appreciate how hard
everyone on board works to make you feel so
special, let them know and the rewards will
speak for themselves.

Always go on the introduction trip around
the ship on the first day. It saves time and
you see all parts of the ship which you might
miss left to your own devices.
