Western Caribbean "Jewels
in the Crown - that's how Royal Caribbean
make us feel. It doesn't have to be that special
occasion because every occasion with Royal
Caribbean is special; standing on deck in
the moonlight, listening to the sound of the
sea or dancing the night away. Climbing the
Dunns River Fall was incredible. What other
reason do you need to take that special Royal
Caribbean Cruise? Thank you Royal Caribbean.
You are special."

St.
Thomas, Caribbean "I first
tasted the thrill of the Caribbean from the
decks of RCCL's wonderful "Enchantment of
the Seas" in 2002. This beautifully kept vessel
is elegant and luxurious and the back-to-back
cruise was my 40th Birthday present from my
husband. I was pregnant but suffered no ill
effects at all on the cruise but I had a really
good pregnancy and am a good sailor.
We found the stateroom finished in lovely
fabrics and cleverly filled with furniture
so that the immense content of our luggage
(three suitcases as we were traveling with
my baby son) all disappeared quickly into
new homes for the following two weeks.
The excitement started when we were unpacking
in our stateroom and we slipped out of Ford
Lauderdale so silently that we were astonished
to see the view from our stateroom was rushing
by. The water sparkled in the sunshine and
my son watched in amazement as the vista changed
from land to rippling azure blue sea.
We visited a variety of Caribbean islands
over the next two weeks and made good friends
on board with whom we are still in touch.
They too had young children and babies and
we dined with them every night for the first
week. We, unlike some of the passengers had
the luxury of two weeks onboard "Enchantment
of the Seas" as we were in effect doing two
cruises and our son became popular with the
staff. Our stateroom steward entertained him
and nothing was too much trouble for all the
friendly staff. As you can see from the attached
picture, James had a great time and learnt
to play the piano on board. He was too young
at the time to go into the supervised children’s
programme but the staff we encountered all
spent time making a fuss of him and were extremely
friendly. Whatever James wanted to eat was
provided and everyone went to a great deal
of trouble to keep our little boy happy.
For me it was a truly unforgettable holiday,
superb food, amazing midnight buffets which
we looked at but couldn't eat!! Although we
did see some people on their fifth meal of
the day! We enjoyed visiting the various islands
and the excitement of going into a couple
of ports by tender. The shops on some of the
islands (particularly the jewelry stores)
were amazing and of course we came back with
some rather expensive purchases but that's
the fun of being on holiday isn't it?
We had a truly superb time and we are now
waiting for our young daughter to reach the
age of three so that we can once again enjoy
an RCCL cruise but this time with both of
our children."

St. Thomas, Caribbean
"Celebrating my 40th birthday on Grandeur
of the Seas was something I will never forget.
The day was filled with activity-scuba diving
in St Thomas, lunch at the cafe at the top
of the steep cable car ride. The view up there,
I will never forget - it was stunning, the
bluest/green sea I have ever seen in my life,
surrounding little mini islands of soft white
sand. I cried, I was so taken aback. Then
later a birthday cake and lots of birthday
cheer, courtesy of Royal Caribbean and strawberries
with chocolate left in my cabin. A wonderful
wonderful memory.
So good that we are doing it all again in
November, the Caribbean here we come! Unfortunately
no birthday this time round... but who needs
excuses?"

Grand Cayman "I
wish to share with you my fondest memory...
I would have to say that my best memory on
a shore excursion was when we did the Caribbean
trip on Enchantment of the Seas. We docked
at Grand Cayman, and went on a visit to Stingray
City. It was definitely my dad that at first
put his goggles on the wrong way around and
nearly drowned himself.
My sister and I were nearly dying of embarrassment.
He finally got it right to dive down - with
a fish in his hand - and one large mother
of a stingray swam over him, tumbling him
and disorientating him completely, well, we
saw him walking on water back to the boat.
Hey dad, this is how it is done watch us!"
